Membership in the Burke Historical Society (BHS) is open to families and individuals of all ages. Benefits of membership include access to our monthly programs (with guest speakers on wide-ranging subjects), tours of local historic sites (including special-access tours not normally available to the public), research seminars, and our annual exhibit at the Burke Centre Festival. You’ll also receive our quarterly newsletter, announcements of and occasional discounts on other local-historical events, discounts on BHS books and t-shirts, and the satisfaction of supporting our efforts to promote Burke’s history. Finally, you’ll join a network of friendly and spirited people who share your love of history.

Volunteer Opportunities:
We invite all BHS members to share their skills and interests with us! You can volunteer to lead or assist with a committee, help plan special events, make historical displays to share with the public, write articles for our newsletter or online presence, share your own research as a guest speaker (in-house or to other groups as a BHS ambassador), and even join our Board of Directors! While no one is required to volunteer, we encourage you to consider doing so and to indicate on your membership form any areas of interest that you have.
