DESCRIPTION:From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday\, June 5th\, the Burke Historical Society will present a small exhibit called “Figures in Burke History” at the Sydenstricker Schoolhouse.  See the historic schoolhouse\, and learn about the people who helped create the community we live in today.  Admission is free\, but donations are appreciated to benefit the schoolhouse and its historical outreach programs. \nThe schoolhouse is located at 8511 Hooes Road\, Springfield\, VA 22153\, next to the old Sydenstricker Methodist Chapel\, and across the street from Sydenstricker Methodist Church. There’s a small parking lot at the schoolhouse and additional parking in the church lot across the street.
