In-Person Meeting: Book talk—The Enchanted Suitcase: A Window Onto My German Father’s World War II Life

Helga Warren will speak on her newly published book, inspired by stumbling upon her German father’s memoirs of World War II—a striking account of his journey to Paris, Normandy, a POW camp in Alabama, and to a new life as an American.  Her discovery unveiled one of the few firsthand accounts of the German POW experience in America, but also a new perspective on the father she thought she knew.
