In-Person Meeting: Mrs. Lincoln’s Lawyer

Mary Lipsey will speak on Mary Todd Lincoln and Myra Bradwell, who became neighbors and friends when Mrs. Lincoln moved to Chicago after Lincoln’s assassination.  In 1875, Mrs. Lincoln’s son, Robert, had her sent to an insane asylum.  Myra used her legal background to gain Mrs. Lincoln’s release.
